Friday - Sunday, February 24-26
We leave THIS FRIDAY (Feb. 24) as soon after school as possible (about 4p). It costs $30 a person, plus whatever money you can raise for World Vision. We'll eat on the way there and eat breakfast at camp Sunday morning; both of those meals are included in the fee. In between, we'll be fasting for 30 Hours (it's kind of like a fast-a-thon). We'll have worship times, Bible studies, and sessions where we learn about how to overcome world hunger. We'll also be serving the camp and some people the Coker Creek community. There will also be lots of free time and fun. You don't want to miss this annual event! Please contact John Pryor ASAP if you want to come!
Like all events at camp, you need to bring your own bedding (mattresses are provided, sheets or sleeping bags are not); personal hygiene items (showers and toilets are provided; towels and shampoo are not); and clothes that you don't mind getting dirty! (Since this is a winter event, concentrate on warm clothes rather than bathing suits!) Other musts are your Bible and a journal or something to write in.

The focus is on PRACTICAL, DAILY-LIFE ways to escape these lies and live by the TRUTHS that set us free! We also provide weekly, take-home Bible study guides for you to explore at home.

The next BIG THING will feature another Open Mic Program. Sign up soon! Any on-stage talent will work: singing, dancing, stand-up comedy, poetry, skits, playing an instrument, etc.--or you can read us a story or poem, explain a picture you drew or painted... The sky is the limit!
There will also be a few surprises over the course of the 1 1/2 hour program, and there's ALWAYS food and fun here. Invite all your friends! Let's make this one the biggest one yet!

This is the biggest Christian tour in the nation--and the cheapest major tour!
We'll leave ASAP after school on Friday (as close to 4p as we can), and we'll come home ASAP after the concert's over (as close to 11p as we can). We'll get fast food on the way there, and you're on your own for that and any CD's, shirts, etc. you want to buy there. But the concert is only $10.
Please do sign up in advance, and bring friends!
Every other week is Creative Ministry Teams (see above). The other two weeks are Outreach Night (where we go off campus to serve) and The BIG THING (where we invite people to join us).
| EVERY FRIDAY MORNING at 8a
Every Friday morning at Roane County High School, there's a student-led Bible study in Mr. Young's room. John Pryor leads worship, Gary Alley emcees, and Christian students from MHCC and several other churches take turns sharing their testimonies, devotions, advice and encouragement to their peers.
Yeah, 8a is early, but if you attend RCHS, why not come join us? See you there... |
