2012 YOUTH GROUPS
All the details are below--including how the Rotating Programs on Wednesdays work!
SUNDAY NIGHTS
Right now, our Sunday Night Youth Groups are working through a series based on the 7 DEADLY SINS. This interactive Bible study digs into some very deep truths and has incredibly clear, practical, relevant application every session. Each week, we're also sending home a Bible Study Guide that goes along with what we're studying and discussing together.
This is SO much more than a "don't do this, don't do that" series. Instead, it will help us see moral issues from God's perspective and to escape the obvious, symptom sins by addressing the less obvious, deeper ones.
WEDNESDAY NIGHTS
Two goals continue to drive these programs:
REACH MORE YOUNG PEOPLE THAN EVER
and
USE OUR GIFTS TO SERVE
We alternate between Creative Ministry Teams(every other week) and two monthly events: Outreach Night and The BIG THING. Scroll down for more details on all these programs.

CREATIVE MINISTRY TEAMS (The next one will be February 22)
Every other week, the students get to choose between three big options with lots of variety within them.
Hands & Feet Students who aren't into art or drama are challenged to serve in other ways doing much-needed jobs around the Teen Center. Most of these are fun and creative (building, painting, digging a fire pit, etc.) or at least strategic and productive (preparing for off-campus projects, helping with the food pantry, and stuff like that).
The Visual Arts Team build their skills while creating personal works of art (which will be displayed) as well as sets for dramas, banners, murals, stage decorations, and much more.
The Performance Arts Team hone their abilities while preparing for small skits, pieces to perform as part of worship, larger productions for the holidays, things to perform in nursing homes, and much more.
The BIG THING (The next one will be February 29)
The BIG THING is a monthly event designed to make it easy for 6th - 12th grade students to invite friends. The atmosphere and program are focused on building relationships and include fun, food, prizes, games, and much more. We want the students to walk in and say, "Wow!" then leave saying, "I'll be back. I felt loved, safe, and challenged, here!" Lately, we've started doing OPEN MIC events at these, and they've been really fun...
(Oh, the BAF! on the posters stands for Bring A Friend!)
OUTREACH NIGHT (The next one will be March 14)
We begin and end at the Teen Center, but we all head off campus to serve others in one of two teams:
Hug Patrol visits people in nursing homes and other shut-ins. We talk, play, hug, encourage, and often sing, perform skits, or otherwise entertain them.
Hands & Feet lead an expanded team to do big projects, including raking and more skilled jobs like building, painting, etc.
