If you're a visitor...
Here is some basic information that will help you feel a little less like "the new kid" on your first day at Morrison Hill!
We really want you to feel at home right away.
The Basic ScheduleSUNDAY MORNINGS 9:00a Worship High school and middle school students are welcome in the all-ages service in the Sanctuary. Several of our students help out in Junior Church in Kid Central during that hour, as well. 10:30a Sunday School After Worship, Z4G heads down to the Teen Center. After food and announcements in the Upper Room, we separate into high school and middle school classes. SUNDAY NIGHTS 6p Worship, then Youth Groups Everyone starts together in the Sanctuary. After Worship, Z4G heads down to the Teen Center for some snacks in the Upper Room and Youth Groups. See What We're Learning for the big themes we're covering and Weekly Youth Groups for details about each week. Our lesson formats vary but always include relevant Bible study and discussions. We often use DVDs from Francis Chan, The Skit Guys, and lots of others to get things started, and frequently use art, games, and other creative ways to explore each truth. WEDNESDAY NIGHTS 6:30p - 8p in the Teen Center (and beyond!) Lately, we've been rotating through these options below. We'll get back into a pattern after the holidays... The BIG THING - A fun program aimed at introducing new young people to our church family (and to Jesus!). Most of them lately are OPEN MIC events. CREATIVE MINISTRY TEAMS - Various teams use their talents to serve others through physical labor, visiting the elderly and shut-ins, art, drama, and more. OUTREACH NIGHT - Everyone joins either Hug Patrol (the visitation team; we sing, perform skits, play games, visit, etc.) or Hands & Feet (we serve people through hands-on work projects). Z4G is the high school and middle school ministry of Morrison Hill Christian Church. The name is an acronym that means Zealous For God. What's the dress code? We are more interested in you as a person than what you are wearing--and we believe God is, too! Many people here do dress up, but many more don't. As long as you aren't wearing something that would be inappropriate at school or anywhere else in public, we invite you to be yourself and make yourself at home. In fact, the main reasons we do them is to reach out to the community and to make it fun and easy for new people to visit us! What is the Teen Center like? The Teen Center is our old Sanctuary, re-imagined. While some of it is still under construction, much of it is an inviting, practical environment designed to facilitate fellowship and learning in many ways. What we call the Upper Room is pictured below.
