WHO ARE WE?
Matthew 5:16 states, "In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." GLOW stands for "Go Light Our World." What we mean by that statement is we are given the opportunity to teach our children about the light that God shines in all of us and through them they can spread the light to others by what they have learned.
The mission statement of GLOW is to help kids become fully devoted and equipped followers of Jesus Christ through age-appropriate, Bible-based teachings, and partnering with parents.
Each Sunday at 9a, K-5th Grade Kids will begin in Kid Central for a time of worship, a Bible Lesson, and a way to apply this lesson to their own lives.
Then at 10:30a, they move to
age-appropriate classes to dive deeper into the lesson for the day!
Each Sunday at 9a, our Toddlers and Preschoolers start in their class for a time that includes, play, a Bible Lesson, craft, and snack.
Then at 10:30a, they move to Kid Central for Preschool Praise. During this time, they get the chance to worship and dive deeper into the lesson for the day!
The Gospel Project
Our Children's Ministry uses
The Gospel Project, which is a
three-year chronological study
through the entire Bible and offers
many different learning activities based on the different ages!
We meet from 6-7:30p and have a Bible story, worship time, games, and more fun than you could ever imagine! The themes change monthly and you can check out what we will be talking about below!
Dinner is served every Wednesday Night
Our Night Series is as follows:
January 19-February 16: #LifeHacks
February 23-April 20: Defined
April 6-April 20: God Speaks
April 27-May 11: Treasured
We hold two events each month for our K-5th graders with one of them being on a Wednesday night! We also hold

Where do I take my child?
Once you arrive at Morrison Hill, a member from our Host Team can point you in the direction of Kid Central in our atrium.
What if it is my first time at Kid Central?
We are so excited you are here! When you arrive at Kid Central, a member from our GLOW team will ask you a couple of questions, you will then both receive a name tag so that later we can reconnect you back with your child!
What will my child be doing?
Your child will have a lot of fun while being here! We have fun worshipping God together; whether it be through singing songs, doing crafts, learning our Bible lesson for the day, or even playing some fun games!
Which hour should my child attend?
GLOW is offered at both the 9:00a service and 10:30a service. During the first service we will worship, read God’s Word, and play games together. During the second service they will be divided up by grade and go to their classes to learn even more about and go into more depth about that day's Bible Story and how they can apply it to their lives!
What else do you offer besides Sunday mornings?
GLOW is offered on Wednesday nights during the school year from 6:00p to 7:30p and we hold special events both on campus and off campus all year round! Your child will also receive a booklet every Sunday morning that goes along with our Wednesday Night Series that they can work on while at home during the week!
What do you provide for children with special needs?
MHCC strives to accommodate all people, regardless of their struggles. Our children's ministry is no different! Please contact Emmaline if you plan on bringing a child with special needs to any of our GLOW events so we can best prepare for your child!
We also have a Preschool Ministry called His Kids Parents' Day Out!
They provide schooling for children ages 3-5 during the school year.
Emmaline Jones joined MHCC as our Children's Ministry Director in August, 2019. She grew up in Nashville, Tennessee and in May, 2019 graduated from Lipscomb University where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Family Science with a focus in Children's Ministry. She is overjoyed to be here and to be able to work with your precious children!
